As I chose to follow the juices that help fight fibromyalgia from the NutriBullet Natural Healing Foods book this week, I would like to understand this dis-order a little deeper. I call it a gut feeling that I have to look deeper into this topic. It is exciting me and attracting me. I feel great things may come from it. So here I go :) This is the menu of juices
So what is fibromyalgia!!???
As the book says:
"Fibromyalgia is a disorder of unknown origin that may result in a variety of muscle, joint and sleep issues."
The symptoms listed are:
"mild to severe: stiffness, soreness, tenderness and/or sensitivity to pressure within the muscles or joints, disturbances in sleeping patterns, and depression."
WHEN OUR HEALTH IS COMPROMISED AND FUNCTIONALITY LIMITED, LET IT BE WHAT EVER DIS-ORDER IT MAY BE, OUR MENTAL STATE AND EMOTIONAL STATE ARE AFFECTED. AND IT IS NO SURPRISE TO SOMETIMES FIND THAT OUR EMOTIONAL STATE AND MENTAL STATE AFFECT OUR PHYSICAL STATE!! IT IS A 3 WAY RELATIONSHIP AND THEY ARE HIGHLY, HIGHLY LINKED.
So what is fibromyalgia!!???

HONESTLY, I AM NOT SURPRISED.
Now, the book mentions: "conventional treatment methods involve prescribed painkillers and/or antidepressants, as well as cognitive-behavioural therapy."
PAINKILLERS = QUIETENING THE BODY'S YELLS FOR HELP !! RIDICULOUS!!! MAKES ME MAD!!!
ANTI-DEPRESSANTS = AGAIN! SUPPRESSING THE BODY'S NATURAL YELL FOR HELP! SAYING: SOMETHING IS WRONG!!!!!!! IT NEEDS A REAL INTERVENTION. HOLISTIC INTERVENTION! NOT A CHEMICAL STIMULANT THAT MAKES YOU BELIEVE THAT NOTHING IS WRONG AND YET YOU GO ON WITH THE SAME HABITS AND WAY OF LOOKING AT LIFE.
COGNITIVE-BEHAVIOURAL THERAPY = WE ARE GETTING CLOSER TO WHAT HELPS BUT HOPEFULLY THE PERSON DOESNT FEEL LIKE HE IS MENTALLY ILL.
But there is hope!!

IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT STRESS IS NOT A BAD THING! STRESS MAKES US DO THINGS! MAKES US ATTAIN AND ACCOMPLISH OUR GOALS. THE KEY IS TO PERCEIVE STRESS AS SOMETHING HELPFUL AND ALWAYS, ALWAYS KNOW THAT YOU EFFORTS ARE FOR THE PURPOSE OF SOMETHING BIG, OF SOMETHING SIGNIFICANT TO YOU! IF YOU ARE PUTTING EFFORT INTO SOMETHING THAT IS NOT GIVING ANYTHING REWARDING BACK TO YOU, THEN THAT BECOMES USELESS, HARMFUL STRESS. REVIEW YOUR DECISIONS, YOUR WHYS AND LOOK ALWAYS AT THE POSITIVE OF EACH CIRCUMSTANCE! IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. IF CANNOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT, REVIEW WHY IT IS THAT YOU DON'T LIKE IT! IS THERE SOMETHING YOU CAN LEARN FROM THAT SITUATION? A REASON WHY YOU ARE LIVING IT?! REMEMBER!!! YOU ARE NEVER A VICTIM! diet: "certain foods are thought to intensify fibromyalgia symptoms. these include dairy, caffeine, nightshade vegetable (eggplant, potatoes, tomatoes, peppers), fried foods, salted/pickled foods, alcohol, refined flours and added sugars.
I SEE COMMON CRIMINALS HERE WITH OTHER AILMENTS: DAIRY, CAFFEINE, SALTED FOODS, FRIED FOOD, REFINED FLOUR AND ADDED SUGARS. THE NIGHTSHADES TEND TO ALSO WORSEN ARTHRITIS BUT ONCE SOMEONE CLEANSES THEIR SYSTEM THESE FOODS ARE NOO ISSUE! HOWEVER THE OTHER ONES JUST HELP TO MAKE OUR BODIES TOXIC. CAFFEINE IS NOT THAT BAD BUT WHEN IT IS THE TO GO OPTION WHEN WE ARE TIRED AND WE DRINK LOTS OF IT, IT BECOMES AN ISSUE.
ANYWAY, SO AS WE HEAL THE STRESS, AND REMOVE THOSE HARMFUL FOODS WE START TO LOOK FOR THE HEALTHY ALTERNATIVES! AND THIS IS WHEN IT GETS SUPER YUMMY AND JUICY :D
Here are the keyyyy elements for fighting fibromyalgia!! MALIC ACID, MAGNESIUM, TRYPTOPHAN (AN AMINO ACID WHICH IS WHAT PROTEINS ARE MADE OF! I think there are 20 or 22 amino acids, some are essential for our body! and we cannot make them! we have to consume them! high quality protein!!), ANTI-INFLAMMATORIES, AND STAMINA!!!
GOD IS GREAT. THE UNIVERSE IS VAST. ALL WE NEED IS HERE AND IS HERE NOW :)))))
